Some of you might know that we had a soft opening last week at the High Falootin’ Mercantile and we are glad we did. We are working through a little interruption with the lease and will reopen High Falootin’ Junk soon. During this time, please feel free to call us directly at 352-449-8140 for Annie Sloan products or anything else you might need. We will be more than happy to accommodate your chalk paint needs. During the next few days, we will be preparing our store to be a fun “play in the paint” environment.

Yay! I can finally tell the rest of my BIG news…I’m going to be a Annie Sloan Paint Mini-Stockist…
I know that a lot of you are just itching to get your hands on this paint and we are working hard to get everything in stock and High Falootin’ Junk open. Those of you that aren’t yet familiar with this paint, you will be amazed at how user friendly it is and will want to repaint everything in your house and then go hunt for more goodies to paint.

I have had a very interesting couple of weeks. On April 15th the building that my other business was located in was condemned due to structural damage following a storm.
It was demolished today.
We had been looking for the right location to move that business to and in the process found a place that would also accommodate my ever expanding inventory of junk.
Approximately 1800 sq ft of warehouse space. YAY!!!
Now I can move all of my junk out of my garage and the rest of my house and begin the “grown up girl” operation that I have been wanting to do for a while…

I call this style…Old Hollywood Glam Revival. It’s 2011 Glammy. (yes, I watch the show Jerseylicious)
The chairs are carved Spanish -Old World style. I have 1 arm chair and 4 side chairs. They are covered in burlap and have a dry brush chippy paint that I chose to keep.
