There is so much cool stuff in the works that I just can’t wait to tell…but I have to.
Here are some things I can share…
Isn’t the color fabulous? It’s Annie Sloan Duck Egg Blue
I started working with Annie Sloan Chalk Paints a few weeks ago and I really love it.
This is what I started with and I have re-ordered twice since. The colors are great and the texture and finish is amazing. I am so happy that I tried this product because it really solved a lot of problems I had with standard latex paints.
I really have two main styles that I focus on and those are mid-century and french styles. I am not a purist or traditionalist in either style. I am constantly stepping out of the box with color choices and redesign techniques.
I wanted this piece to be kind of risque or sex in the city-ish. Traditional and avant garde colliding. I envision it in a dining room with heavy, silk damask drapes and sexy low lighting.
The next piece is a Heywood Wakefield ReDesign…
painted in Annie Sloan Graphite and finished with clear wax, I was able to buff the finish to a super smooth hard finish.
I doubt that I’m the only one that has used this paint for modern pieces, but I will say that it is well suited for it since the paint is fast drying and you have the ability to buff the wax to a super hard finish.
I am working on a Bernhardt Sideboard, Gun Case, French Arm Chair and Dresser this week. Along with all the other new changes in the works…its going to be a busy week.
Good Luck Junkin’
I have so much to share with y’all about the road trip, the new warehouse and the other new changes that are on the horizon, but for now I’m just going to give you a quick update and a preview of new loot. I have been crazy busy trying to get everything moved into the new warehouse and its starting to really take shape, but my booths at the Tavares Antique Mall were starting to look bare after selling some of my BIG furniture pieces. I finally found some time to refresh with some new stuff.
I will share more in the next few days…
I have spent the last couple days changing out my “girly” booth to reflect more of the French Market Style that I love. As some of you might already know, I have multiple design personalities and they frequently fight with each other. Sometimes I try to mix them all together and it works, other times it drives me nuts. Currently, I have my “guy” booth and my “girly” booth.
This is my “French Market Style” booth. This style might be confused with Shabby Chic, but it’s a bit more rustic in it’s color palette. It’s more burlap than lace and a little less delicate.
“Juliette” bed turned out amazing. She is perfectly imperfect.
So that is a glimpse at my girly side and here is the other side…
Rustic ranch with warm tones, bright colors and funky cowboy junk.
That’s me…eclectic to the max.
Y’all have a great weekend and good luck junkin’
and just in time for all of you that are out antiquing and junkin’ this weekend during the Renningers Antique Extravaganza. The Tavares Antique Mall is only 15 minutes away from the Mount Dora Event.
Good Luck Junkin’
We have a major announcement…
We will be moving into the Tavares Antique Mall beginning on Jan 18th and will be ready for the Art Around Town Event Jan. 21st @ 5:30. This is a great event and we are very excited to be showing off our booth for the first time at this event.
Come out and see our booth and join us for a really fun event.
These are original One Of A Kind Paintings Signed YAZ. I did not know the artist personally, but I do know her husband and son. She passed away a couple years ago and left the family with over 300 paintings. I fell in love with her work. It is so peaceful and calming. This is your chance to own original paintings for a very reasonable price.

In case you didn’t know, I love burlap. I use it on everything because it goes with almost everything. Here is a cute little chair and stool that has been painted black, distressed and topped with my fave material…you guessed it…Burlap!

This cute little dresser almost done. I am waiting on the drawer pulls. I have named her Lou La Belle because she looks so sweet and charming. Very Country Cottage and full of good ole’ southern grace. The drawer pulls will be vintage glass pulls. This piece is $175.
